AWED Policy Analysis Project
 
Three goals are associated with the AWED Policy Analysis Project:
 
  1. To examine the actual application of the policies and their effect on institutional climate, particularly as concerns women and other underrepresented groups (ethnic and racial minorities, LGBT people, those with disabilities, etc.) Interviews with faculty and administrators will be used to examine the effect of and effectiveness of the policies.
  2. To propose changes to current policies or to propose new policies intended to create a more positive and inclusive institutional climate at FIU for all faculty.
  3. To compile Florida International University policies at the university, college and department levels that affect tenured and tenure-track faculty members, research faculty, instructors, clinical faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in all disciplines. The collection will provide a resource for faculty, administrators, and university policy makers and to aid in the systematic application of these policies.
