Bio

Aaron H. Alpern is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and the Theatre Program Coordinator at the Kendall Campus of Miami Dade College.  Mr. Alpern has also taught at the New World School for The Arts and Florida International University.  Aaron has a bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and his Master Of Fine Arts in Acting from The California Institute for The Arts.  As a professional actor he has worked at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the P.C.P.A. Theatre Festival, the Western Stage, First Folio, Chicago Shakespeare, Writers Theatre, Timeline, Next Act, Northern Stage, Jewish Ensemble Theatre, Meadowbrook, Tipping Point and Quantum Theatre and as the Equity Guest Artist for Hillsdale College and the Grand Valley Shakespeare festival respectively.  Mr. Alpern is proud of his work promoting diversity in higher education with the University of Michigan’s Center for Research on Learning and Teaching as well as University of Miami’s S.E.E.D.S. (Scientists and Engineers Expanding Diversity and Success) and FIU’s office of  Advancement for Women, Equity and Diversity.
