The Office of Credentialing Learning at Florida International University connects learning to career readiness by recognizing and validating the full range of student experiences inside and outside the classroom. Through micro-credentials, co-curricular and experiential learning transcripts, and prior learning assessment (PLA), we help students translate their skills and knowledge into meaningful, career-ready outcomes.
Our work supports colleges, departments, and units in designing and implementing programs that advance student career readiness. Credentialing Learning serves as FIU's centralized repository for experiential learning data, anchored by the Co-Curricular and Experiential Learning Transcript model. This enables the university to consistently capture, validate, and scale experiences - turning internships, research, leadership, and service into measurable indicators of career readiness.
