Chairs Advisory Council 2024-2025

The Chairs Advisory Council (CAC) is composed of all department chairs at FIU. Acting together, they aim to define the roles of the chairs at FIU and ensure that chairs can perform effectively as leaders.

To that end, the council seeks out professional development opportunities, promotes institutional awareness and builds a shared mission and purpose for the chairs. They also advise university leadership on issues related to departmental governance and management.

The CAC elects its officers and meets as a whole at least once every fall and spring semester.
