Dr. Xuan Jiang
Assistant Director in the Center for Excellence in Writing
Dr. Xuan Jiang, an FIU alumna, is the Assistant Director in the Center for Excellence in Writing. She teaches the peer-tutoring course - ENC 3491. Dr. Jiang has over 30 publications in the fields of writing tutoring, writing pedagogy, writing studies, language teaching, and other educational fields. With Dr. Vanessa Sohan and other colleagues, she founded the FIUURJ in 2022, an interdisciplinary journal for and by FIU undergraduate students, and has co-edited 3 volumes of the journal.
As a 2024 Dream Awardee of the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), the world’s largest professional organization for researching and teaching composition, Dr. Jiang continues her dream as a new member of the CCCC Accountability for Equity and Inclusion Committee (2024-2026).
Dr. Xuan Jiang has been co-designing and co-delivering faculty workshops as a faculty fellow at the Office to Advance Women, Equity, and Diversity (2020-2024) and now through the Office of Faculty Leadership and Success, as a founding faculty fellow.
